External Apps

Hola Amigos

I know it’s been a long time sinceĀ  I rapped at ya, but I’ve been busier than a squirrel before winter. “What’s the deal?” you ask. Well, we’ve just rolled out brand new external auth apis, as well as support for them in our java and PHP libraries.

Now, you’ll be able to use Bebo’s platform in external web appsĀ  *and* desktop apps. I can’t wait to see the bulk photo uploaders. We’ve also created documentation for all of this stuff, which you’ll find here. Heck, we’ve gone a step further, and re-done a large portion of our docs. Feel free to give them a look too.

Happy coding.

    Awsome work. One proble though;
    I can’t get an infinite session if user is not presently logged in to Bebo when sending him/her to login.php (The page saying “You’re almost there. In order to use X , you must first sign in to Bebo). Checking the box “Keep me logged in to X” makes no difference.

    I expect this to be a bug on your side. Or?

    It’s most likely an oversight in the auth process. Can you file a bugzilla bug?

  8. Niklas Says:

    Ok, thanks. Bug filed.

    Hi, I am trying to develop a Bebo java desktop application. Can anyone please give me some sample code and tell me what other jars are required. It seems the library published needs apache/commons etc. As i am running a desktop application, i cant include apache server side jars. Can anyone please help me set the environment and start with the application. I really need to get this soon ASAP. Thanks a mil in advance.
